Your child won't need to bring any school supplies. We use a community supply and supply everything that is needed.
Please bring a complete change of clothes to include a top, bottom, underwear, socks and shoes to our Meet and Greet event or on the first day of school. These items will stay in your child's cubby. If they need a change, we'll send them home so you'll know to bring in replacements. Label everything!
Each day your child will need the following...
Send your child to school in clothing that’s okay to get messy. We go outside a lot, even in mud and drizzle! We use art supplies that are labeled washable but you never know! If your child wears something fancy for say picture day, please send a change of clothes with them.
Use a tote bag for belongings. Traditional backpacks do not fit well in our classroom cubbies and are not needed. Tote bags with shorter straps and *small* backpacks are easier for students to use successfully.
Closed-toed shoes. We will go outside a lot! There is mulch on our patio and playground that is not comfy with sandals, Crocs, etc. Closed toes sneakers are the best option for school!
If your child is half-day, they will need a snack and a water bottle. In order for everyone to get a turn at snack, please only send a single serving portion for snack. Some examples would be a pack of crackers or a granola bar or an apple or banana, etc. We cannot refrigerate snacks.
If your child is full day, they will need a morning snack, afternoon snack, lunch and water bottle. Please keep snacks single-servings as mentioned above.
Label everything! All water bottles need to be labeled with your child's first and last name, as well as the date. If they have any *lunch* items that require refrigeration such as meat and dairy items, these too need to have first and last name as well as the date.
Please leave these items at home:
Toys (including trading cards and stuffed animals)
Jewelry and accessories- these can quickly become lost or broken and are distractions in the classroom
Devices (Smart watches/phones/tablets)
Anything valuable or irreplaceable to your child
