Weekly / Monthly Responsibilities
Roles:
Moderator: Find quotes for the week. Run morning meeting and Friday community gathering. Be sure to read the agenda before coming to morning meeting. Check in with guides before starting.
Menu Planning/Shopping: Plan the menu for the week. Should goal towards having it done by Thursday. Arrange time with Ann (Monday at 9:00 am) to go do the shopping. Check with Jessica or Mandy for any cooking support items to be purchased.
Eco Helpers: Roll the composters (located in the back of Jr. High), feed the worms (located in the gardening room), use eno clothes to clean (see Mandy for assistance and the list of duties), empty the compost bags into one on each floor and take to the green bin outside (see Ann for assistance).
Clean up: "Start as a team, finish as a team!" Mondays and Fridays ensure sink is clear of dishes. Chairs are tucked, spray and wipe tables. On cooking days... Be sure to lay towels on counters before beginning dishwashers (check that plug is in before turning on). Determine if table cloths need washing. Fold and put away. Have classroom ready for afternoon classes. See Ann for any assistance.
Expectations: When environment is ready we will begin classes. A year eight will lead the cleanup group and decide when to dismiss group. Please be respectful of each other. Goal is to complete the task by 1 pm each day. A teacher will observe the process.
Laundry: At the end of the day, ensure all tea towels and cloths are washed and in dryer. Any thing that needs to be folded and put away in the drawers is required too.
Charging Chrome Books: Ensure all CB's are on the charging cart plugged in to be ready for the next day. Lock the cart with key! Should be wiped down and screens cleaned at least twice a week.
