Tips for All Types of Extensions
BE GENTLE:
With your beautifully installed hair extensions, we understand that it is extremely tempting to touch, toss, and glide your fingers through each strand of hair. However, being gentle will help extend the life of your extensions.
TANNING LOTIONS AND SPRAYS:
Any contact with tanning lotion or spray may cause color alterations to your hair extensions. Before visiting a tanning salon, tie your hair in an updo and cover with a plastic cap to avoid direct contact.
SWIMMING:
Prior to entering the ocean, lake, or chlorinated water, we recommend dampening your hair with water and a light coat of conditioner. This will prevent your hair from soaking up harsh chemicals or minerals. Tie your hair in a loose ponytail or braid. Upon exiting the water, wash or hair in lukewarm water with a generous amount of deep conditioner.
EXCESSIVE PERSPIRATION:
Any activities that cause an excessive amount of perspiration can cause tangling and matting. If you notice tangles or a slight knot, start from the inner side of your extensions and work the knot outwards.
SLEEPING:
Sleep with a low braid or low ponytail. Do not go to bed with wet hair as it can cause tangling close to the scalp. If this occurs, schedule an appointment ASAP to remove immediately.
COLORING:
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COLOR YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS AT HOME.
