About Mrs. Noble

My name is Holly Noble and I am excited to be teaching kindergarten at Montecito Union again this year. I feel privileged to be a teacher and love spending my days guiding, inspiring, and encouraging students as they grow both academically and personally.

This year marks my twenty-fourth year as a teacher. I earned a Masters degree in education from California Lutheran University and hold credentials for elementary and secondary education. I began my career as an elementary school teacher. Then, after earning my secondary credential, I taught middle school gifted language-arts, history, and drama. Additionally, during this time I also served as a school site GATE coordinator and was responsible for curriculum design and enrichment opportunities school-wide. Later, I served as a teacher for a charter school where I was responsible for supervising independent study students in kindergarten-eighth grade. Prior to joining the MUS faculty, I taught first grade in southern Ventura County. Over the past two decades, I have earned additional credentials in the areas of art, social studies, drama, reading instruction, and administration. Additionally, I am currently taking coursework related to early childhood, phonics, phonemic awareness, and dyslexia

In 2016, I moved back to Santa Barbara with my husband and two children, Owen (now 17) and Amelia (now 15), and three rescue dogs, Shadow, Mercy, and Harley. My own children had the privilege of attending Montecito Union, and I am so grateful that they were able to be a part of such an incredible school. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, exercising, and travel.

Over the course of the summer, I have been working closely with our amazing kindergarten grade team to prepare for a wonderful year. I am looking forward to getting to know our students and to an exciting year filled with thinking and learning!

All my best,

Holly Noble, M.Ed.
