Hard reset - slide
1 Plug charger in the left charging port. Look for white led on charger or the charger brick
2 Press and HOLD the refresh button (circular arrow ↻ on the top row of keys)
3 tapping the power button 10 times (release all buttons)
If it doesn't power on - move the charger to the other side of the charging port and repeat the process.

It will Delete everything off the device (Anything download to the device will be deleted. School work should sync with the drive.)
You will need internet connection and student's credential to re-enroll the account on the device.

Sign out: 1 Click on the time and 2 sign out.
At the sign in screen.
press and hold down: shift+ctrl+alt+R (If the keyboard is not working, try plugging in an external USB keyboard)
-If it asks you to restart please do
-If it asks you to power wash please proceed

-Press (Get started) lower left hand side
Connect to Network
on the right pane scroll to the bottom ( + add other WiFi Network)
Join Wi-Fi network box will pop up, manually type MUSD-Chrome
security is (NONE) and press the connect button. Then press the (blue Next button)
Google terms of service
-(Blue accept and continue) Then Blue Done button
Sign in to your Chromebook
Enter student's username example: rnka9946
Enter password: 1st 5 letters of the student Lastname
Wifi to see slide demo
Student Chromebooks should automatically connect to MUSD-Chrome when they’re on campus.
If not, add new wifi connection type: MUSD-Chrome (MUSD-C must be Capitalized)
1- Click on the time at the bottom right hand corner
2 - Click on the network icon
3a - If you see MUSD-Chrome please click on that network
3b - if you don't see it, Click the + to add it.
4 - SSID = MUSD-Chrome and Security is NONE
5- press Blue Connect button.
If that fails, the other wifi connection is MUSD-ACHIEVING STUDENTS
Steps for logging in to Wifi.
Change the EAP Method from LEAP to PEAP.
Type in the student’s username (without @montebello.k12.ca.us) in the Identity field.
Type in the student’s account password in the Password field.
A - Clear Cache - open chrome browser>top right hand corner click "3 dots">"more tools">clear browsing data>advanced>time range>all time (re-open chromebrowser)
B - Reset browser to default - open chrome browser>top right hand corner click "3 dots">settings>advanced>restore settings to their original defaults (re-open chromebrowser)

Body include: Student's name, ID number, and the description of your issue.
Check that the keyboard layout is set to US. Click time bottom right > Gear top right > click device on the left pane > keyboard > change input settings > show input options in the shelf > and select English US under Input methods.

Webcam - go to Meet.google.com and click on the settings at the top right hand corner. A pop up to the left will ask you to allow camera and audio. Please allow both. Select camera to the left hand side and see if it displays the camera on the right side.
If not, the camera software might be corrupted or the hardware might have failed.
Perform a PowerWash, if it works then it was software issues.
