- Train in ServSafe guidelines for Food & Kitchen Safety - New 2020 - Certification now required at 9th Grade. Given through the National Restaurant Association, giving students an advantage when applying for a employment .
- All CHOP Classes are dual enrollment with ROP - Regional Occupational Program, Culinary Arts - For Day Classes
- Cooking and baking labs
- Kitchen Equipment & Maintenance
- Kitchen Brigade, Cooking Lines, & Mise En Place

- Application of food preparation skills for our Lancer Café (Front and Back of House needs)
- Train in cashiering, accounting, food and beverage costing.
- Plan, manage, & participate in our yearly Fundraising, Catering Events and Restaurant Occupations opportunities.

12th Grade Students Will Create:
12th Grade Students Will Create:
- A school based enterprise called The Lancer Café and New Garden Cafe with outdoor seating - in partnership with the GREEN Pathway. Adhering to all ServSafe and Covid 19 Guidelines.
- ServSafe Manager Certification Training - If student would like to test outside of school this training can aid in passing with a higher score giving students an advantage when applying for a employment .
- Participation in the Pathway Senior Exhibition, Creating a Digital Portfolio, and being Graduating Senior is - Requirement to earn a CHOP Sash and a CHOP Medal for Graduation.
- Design menus for teachers and students that meet California State nutritional guidelines for school.
- Advertising and Promotions for the The Lancer Café, Catering, and Fundraising, and Events.
- Apply standards for food costing of all recipes used in the Lancer Café and Catering department.
- Maintain and manage all financial transactions and financial accounts for restaurant and Lancer Café club.
- May wear the CHOP Sash & Medal during graduation
- Job Opportunities at local Restaurants and Hotels
- Participate with ProStart all four Years & Culinary Competitions
- Have voice and choice for most CHOP activities
