After-School Programs
NOTICE OF AN INTENT TO SUBMIT GRANT APPLICATION FOR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Montebello Unified School District intends to apply for 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants. Applications are due to California Department of Education (CDE) in Sacramento no later than November 16, 2023. Two (2) separate applications will be submitted, Middle school and a high school application. In addition to the Summer ESSER grant renewal.
21st Century Elementary Application requests the following:
Before School Programs
Additional monies to address the long waiting lists for existing after school programs
Summer programs for clusters open to the community regardless of the home-school
Summer programs can extend existing summer programs.
Based on the needs assessment the following schools are requesting funding:

Eastmont Intermediate
Montebello Intermediate
Suva Intermediate
La Merced Academy
La Merced Intermediate
Rosewood Park STEAM Academy
High Schools
Applied Technology Center
Bell Gardens High School
Montebello High School
Schurr High
Vail High
Notice of an intent to submit an application. The application and any waiver request will be available for public review after submission of the application (20 U.S.C. Section 7174[b][2][L]).

About the Program
Montebello Unified School District's- Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO) provides a quality after-school and/ or before-school and summer programs to enhance your child's learning in school, provide enrichment, academic support and social emotional learning. ELO works with Community Based Organizations to provide homework help, health & fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, academic enrichment and visual and performing arts. ELO provides safe and educationally enriching alternatives for children and youths during non-school hours.
The program operates daily from school dismissal until 6:00pm and students are expected to attend 5 days a week. There is NO cost to participate.

21st Century Community Learning Centers
After School Safety and Education for Teens (ASSETs)
Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P)
Our after-school program is available throughout the district at: All Elementary Schools, all Intermediate Schools, Rosewood Park School, Applied Technology Center, Montebello High, Bell Gardens High School, and Schurr High School.
