Lesson 3.4

Welcome to Honors 10 Unit 3, Lesson 4! This lesson's objective is below...

After engaging in a close reading and discussion of “Rituals of Memory,” students will be able to analyze how the author uses figurative language and develops, refines, and shapes ideas. Additionally, students will compare this work to the anchor text in order to explore how the past—and a shared cultural and ethnic background—can both bring people together and tear them apart.

What conclusion did he draw about research done with HeLa cells? How did scientists respond? Use evidence from the text to inspire your answer during your discussion.
