Research Project: Gender Justice

In "She Unnames Them," Eve is unnaming animals and, ultimately, herself to fight the subservient role of women. Throughout history, women have been fighting for justice and equality. With a partner of your choice, complete the following:

  • Research one major event in women's rights (e.g. women's suffrage, Title IX and the Education Amendments, and Violence Against Women Act).
  • Take notes and answer the following questions on a Google Doc:
    • Who was involved in this particular event?
    • What were they fighting for specifically?
    • What were they fighting for specifically?
    • Whom were they fighting against?
    • What impact did this event have on women's rights?
    • What impact has this event had on society today?
  • Create a multimedia presentation to present your historical event to the class and turn it into Google Classroom
  • Afterwards, go to FlipGrid and answer the following question and reply to at least one of your peers:
    • Which moments from history had the biggest impact on women's rights and why?
