My dad was in the Air Force so I grew up moving all over the U.S. I finished high school in Colorado Springs. I went to the University of Northern Colorado where I earned my Bachelor's in Education and later my Master's of Art in Secondary and Post-secondary School Counseling. My first counseling position was at Lamar Middle School, and I worked there for 7 years. I started at MVHS in 2007 and have been here ever since. I have really enjoyed my job in Monte Vista. I take pride in getting to know students and helping them in any way that I can.

Born and raised in the San Luis Valley, I graduated from Centauri High School and Adams State College with my BA in Elementary Education in 1992 and my MA in School Counseling in 1998. I have been a secondary counselor for over 20 years. I have four children and eight grandchildren who are my life. I love to spend time with my family, and I also enjoy exercising, reading, working in my yard and watching Jeopardy.
