Transcripts are a required piece of applying to college. Every college is going to request you send them your high school transcripts. Please check the subpage "parchment" under the section Applying to college for more information.
Letters of Recommendation
Some colleges may require letters of recommendation. These letters are written by teachers, administrators, coaches or anyone else who knows the student really well. Every college has the option to determine who the letter should be written by. Make sure you read the requirements carefully.
If you need a letter of recommendation, or a few, make sure you ask the adult in person and give them a few weeks notice. Do not ask them the day before. Give them time to write a good letter and give them information about what should be included in the letter.
