Tips for Parents

1. Ensure that your child is accessing their Google classrooms on a regular basis. If your child received assignments in print, monitor that they are being completed.

2. Engage in learning conversations with your child. Have them explain assignments to you and share their work. Praise their efforts and encourage the learning.

3. Talk to your child about how they are feeling. Allow them to express their thoughts and emotions and give them coping strategies that communicate that we will get through this together.

4. If your child is struggling or confused about their work expectations, teachers are available by emailing them. Reach out for support from any Clifton employee.

5. Think quality over quantity. Try not to create or expect a full day of assignments/learning as you manage homeschooling. Flexibility is more important than ever.

6. Release the guilt you may feel with all of the family responsibilities you now face and do the best you can under the circumstances.
