Hello! My name is Mrs. Rendi Carter, and I am one of the seventh-grade science teachers. I have been teaching science for eight years and am passionate about helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. My favorite areas of science are Earth and Space Science and Biology. In my classroom, I strive to create an engaging and student-centered learning environment through project-based learning. This instructional approach encourages students to actively explore scientific concepts by designing, creating, and collaborating on hands-on projects. I believe that learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable, and I work hard to foster a classroom culture where students feel challenged, supported, and excited to learn.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy remaining actively involved in our school community. I serve as the head volleyball coach for the MCMS volleyball team and recently joined the MCHS volleyball program as an assistant coach. Coaching allows me to build meaningful relationships with students while helping them develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence both on and off the court. In addition, I enjoy working with students through our school's after-school program, where we provide engaging activities and opportunities for students to connect, learn, and have fun in a positive environment.
Beyond my professional responsibilities, I am blessed with a wonderful family that means the world to me. My husband, Robert, is employed with Twin States Utilities, and together we have two sons, Shawn Michael, a fourth-grade student at GES, and John Henry, who attends Gamaliel Wee Care. As a family, we enjoy hobby farming, traveling, and spending quality time together whenever possible. Not at home anymore we have two bonus children Zoe and Nic. We are proud of the people they have the become and the families they have created. They have since blessed us with 6 little grands! I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our students and community and look forward to continuing to support their academic and personal growth.
