Hello! My name is Mrs. Amanda Carter, and I am the Library Media Specialist at Tompkinsville Elementary School. The 2025-26 school year will be my 8th year in the Library, and my 19th year teaching. I taught kindergarten for 11 years before becoming the LMS. 

I am married to my husband of 20 years, Shawn. We have one child, Emma Kate, who will be a 7th grader at Monroe County Middle School this year! 

In my spare time I love to read and spend time at Emma Kate's basketball games with my family. I also love the beach, and anything to do with water! 

My goal for this school year is to foster a love of learning and excite students about reading. I can't wait to get books in their hands!
