Formative Assessments: Students will take Formative Assessments daily. These assessments allow me to see if your child understands the content. Students who are still having difficulty with the content will receive more individual or small group instruction during daily RTI.
IREADY Diagnostic Assessment: JHC uses the curriculum i-Ready. The i-Ready Diagnostic is an online assessment that helps us understand each student’s strengths and areas for growth in reading and math. Students take the diagnostic several times throughout the school year so we can measure progress over time and adjust instruction as needed.The i-Ready Diagnostic is adaptive, meaning the questions adjust based on each student’s responses. This allows the assessment to meet students where they are and provide accurate, individualized information—rather than a one-size-fits-all test.
This grading system is used on the report cards, as well as on classwork and assessments given throughout the year.
