This is my 24th year at Gamaliel Elementary School. My first year I taught PE and a 5th grade math/art enrichment class. I then taught 3rd grade for 22 years. Now I am the reading interventionist at GES, and I love it! I work with small groups on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and writing.
I am a graduate of Monroe County High School and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and my Master's degree in Elementary Counseling all from Western Kentucky University.
I am happily married to Chris Rouse. He works at Graves Gilbert Clinic as a radiologic technologist. We have a beautiful 16 year old daughter, Mya Elizabeth. She is such a blessing and is the light of our lives. She is a sophomore at MCHS. In my spare time I enjoy reading, swimming, shopping, and spending time with my family.
