What is it? MTMS offers three after school programs that students can sign up to attend for assistance with their work. The two programs are:
MAC: The Math Assistance center (MAC) is an after school program that occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays where students can go for specialized mathematics help. Students are aided by mathematics teachers in the building (not necessarily your child's teacher) with math skills. They can complete their homework, study for tests, or get extra help from teachers there. Students are expected to come into the session with specific questions or needs so the teachers can best help them in the time allotted.

Academic Achievement Club: Academic Achievement Club is a homework, studying, and make-up work program. Students can go to this program on Tuesdays and Thursdays in order to receive generalized help from two teachers at MTMS who teach two different subject matters (no mathematics teacher since there is MAC). If a student is absent one day, they may be recommended to go to this program in order to make-up work. If a student needs help with assignments, finds that they get distracted while doing assignments at home, or even just need a computer, Academic Achievement Club is an alternative that can suit these needs.

Whether it's completing assignments or preparing for exams, SAC is here to help. Students may also be requested to attend SAC to make up any quizzes/tests or labs that they missed while they were absent. Students should bring the materials they need or want to review to the session. A permission form must be completed for each session and given to your science teacher at least the day before the session.
