Team Journey/ELA Grading Policy
*Late homework is not accepted - homework notes are checked daily.
*5 points are deducted from Habits of Mind grades if policies are not followed or if a student is unprepared for class.
*15 points are deducted from late work (i.e. formatives and summatives).
*Completion work: Pass (100%) Fail (64%).
Habits of Mind (10%) - Effort, compliance, behavior, cooperation, participation, preparation, group work
Independent Practice (20%)
Classwork and homework
Formative Assessments (30%)
Checkpoints to understanding including but not limited to: quizzes, quick-checks, entrance/exit passes, reading responses
Summative Assessments (40%)
End of learning documentation including but not limited to: tests, projects, formal writing pieces, and portfolios

Letter Grading System:
A = 90 - 100%
B = 80 - 89%
C = 70 - 79%
D = 65 - 69%
F = 0 - 64%
Check Grading System:
Check ++ = 100%
Check + = 95%
Check = 85%
Check - = 75%
Check -- = 65%
O-S-U Grading System:
O (Outstanding) = 100%
S (Satisfactory) = 85%
U (Unsatisfactory) = 65%
