Morning Meeting

As a way to build our classroom community and strengthen our bond as a class unit, we will have morning meeting EVERYDAY! During morning meeting, students will engage in several different activities that build off of the five SEL competencies. These include: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision- making. Below you can find a list of the different activities completed daily. 

• Greeting

• Calendar 

• Days of school count

• Announcements (homework, schedule, star student, birthdays, important dates, upcoming events etc.). 

• Self- check (students share how they are currently feeling); zones of regulation

• Share (students share their response to the morning journal that day)

• ITP- explore monthly theme rooms; gonoodle; brain breaks etc.
