Meet
Miss Megan
My name is Megan Meyers and I am so excited for another fun filled school year with you and your child! This year will mark my 5th year teaching and my fifth year here at Mill Lake Elementary School.
My desire to become a teacher began mid-way through my undergraduate career at Rutgers University. As a junior, I was lucky enough to register for a fieldwork class at the nearby Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center (DDDC) on campus. During this course, I was introduced to the world of teaching and Applied Behavioral Analysis and I immediately knew what it was I wanted to do moving forward! During my senior year, I began working at the DDDC as a teaching assistant in the preschool classroom. I remained in this role for 4 years, after which I became the Lead Instructor in an Elementary aged classroom for another 2 years. During this time, I also earned my Master's Degree in Special Education.
I am super excited to begin the school year and look forward to learning as much from your child as he/she learns from me.
Sincerely,
Miss Megan

Field Hockey is one of my biggest hobbies and I still play in an Adult Field Hockey League!
Halloween is my favorite holiday and I still enjoy acting like a kid and dressing up (often as characters from my childhood, such as the Ninja Turtle above!).
I just recently adopted my cute little puppy, Sasha, on April 8th. She is the sassiest puppy you will ever meet!
