Monroe is a special place to me because I graduated from MTHS back when the middle school was the high school. I love working in Monroe because of the wonderful students, supportive families, and a collaborative staff.
I have been teaching for 16 years. This is my 8th year teaching in Monroe. I am happy to rejoin the Mill Lake team, I actually started my career in Monroe teaching 2nd grade at Mill Lake. While teaching in Monroe I've taught 2, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. I am excited for this new adventure in 1st!
My philosophy is that we are a team. Becoming a mom has changed my perspective on life and education. I strive to be the teacher I'd want my son to have in class everyday. My goal is to provide a safe, and enjoyable classroom environment. I plan on carrying this out by having structured routines and procedures that incorporate movement and songs. Children thrive on routine and predictability. I am a proactive person that believes in logical consequences for behavior.

A little about me outside of school: In May of 2024 my husband and I welcomed our wonderful son Vincent. You will hear all about him and our dogs Flynn and Nico. I love sharing pictures and talking about them. I love Starbucks, going to Walt Disney World, the beach, exercising, the Yankees, and the NJ Devils.
