Homework is designed to reinforce concepts we have learned in class. It helps develop responsibility.
Homework grade will be figured into your final grade, so it is important!
1 day late: A written warning will be sent home with the student. This may be in a form of a note in the student’s assignment pad or a missing homework slip.
2 days late: The teacher will communicate with the student’s parents through a letter home, an email message, or a phone call
3 or more days late: A disciplinary consequence will result. This is at the discretion of the teacher. Consequences may include recess detention, loss of classroom privileges, etc.
A pattern of missed homework may result in a disciplinary referral to the Vice Principal.
If the student is absent, we will assign a homework buddy to copy down missed assignments for the student.
Students will be given two days for every day missed to complete their assignments.
Missed Assignment Notice: student who misses an assignment will be given a missed assignment notice. This note must be signed by parent/guardian and stapled to the top of the completed assignment.
