POTENTIAL NHS MEMBERS
If your GPA meets the criteria for NHS, you will be contacted via school e-mail in your Junior or Senior Year for an informational potential new members meeting around October.
You will be expected to complete and turn in the application packet on our Google Classroom by a given due date and time.
After applications are reviewed by the Review Committee, you will be notified about acceptance status via your school e-mail shortly after.
Once you have been accepted you must attend meetings and continue logging hours for service and leadership, as well as be in good standing while maintaining your GPA . You are required to continue your hours even AFTER induction. Hours are collected and checked at the end of each school year.
There will be an induction ceremony that all new and current members are required to attend, usually in January. All members will pay dues. Seniors will receive their graduation stoles at the ceremony held their senior year.
All members are expected to participate in our service projects (school and community).
In May of each year, all members will be asked to update their service hours for the year.
Reminder that as NHS members, you are required to continuously uphold the 4 pillars throughout high school. If there is an issue, you will be notified and be put on probation and/or dismissed from NHS.
