The Chipster
The cold breeze, fall leaves: orange and yellow, and fog throughout the air. On November 14th, three highschool teenagers thought it was a normal night for a sleepover but the night actually turned out to be a very peculiar evening. Both parent figures of Chris were gone for a trip. Chris, Ryan, and Jared started their night out with a fire and smores as it fit the timing for a perfect seasonal celebration and hangout. Halloween was just a couple weeks ago and all of the guys thought it would be too immature to dress up and participate in the trick or treating so they planned a gathering on this night. The town previously had reports of a weird and very sinister looking creature traveling through homes in the city of Modesto, California. As news spread the boys had no clue about this anonymous and discrete character. All three boys were very different people, Chris was a worrier, Ryan was the brave and mighty of the bunch, and Jared was a nerd. As the night went on and the boys went inside.
Time went on and the boys had a really fun night. Chris went to his room, Ryan slept on the couch, and Jared slept on the ground beneath Ryan. It was about 3:00 am when a weird scratching and knocking sound was beat onto Chris’s closet door. Chris was the only one to wake up. With a rush of adrenaline he headed straight for the stairs, screaming and yelling horrifically. Ryan and Jared both wakeup instantly and run back to the fire in the backyard. Chris follows. Ryan the brave one discusses his plan to the other two boys, “Chris you follow Jared into the kitchen. One of you grab a knife and the other grab any type of bug spray. On your way back out both watch each other's backs. I will go to the staircase and look for the monster with the light on the back of my phone. If you see anything or feel anything near you. Attack it with what you have.” Both boys nod and they all slowly creep through the back door. Pitch black the living room was but there was nothing in there. Chris and Jared head for the kitchen and both grab the supplies needed to attack and defend themselves from the sinister monster. As the boys get into the kitchen a dripping sound over the kitchen sink warns them from entering. Jared goes straight for the light switch to turn the lights on, however the power was completely shut off. As they make their way step by step into the kitchen. The dripping sound from the sink turned out to be blood written all over the wall with the words, “CHUPCHIP’S WARRIORS”. Then, BOOM. Chris gets swept off of his feet and dragged across the kitchen towards the sink. Jared screams and runs to Ryan. immediately. Chris continued to scream until it all became silent. Blood smears all over the kitchen tile, hand/fingerprints of blood all in a line to the laundry room. It had to be the town boogie monster, Chupchip.
The nausea and distortment between the last two boys created tension between their thinking. After both knowing Chris was killed they both go into their fight or flight. Standing by the staircase and contemplating whether they run for it or fight was the biggest battle. Jared thinks that both boys should go back to the back door and run away. Ryan is in agreement with that idea so they run straight for the door just for it to be locked. Onto Plan B. The kitchen is clearly off limits so they head upstairs to play against Chupchip with high ground. Jared grabbed the signed baseball bat in Chris’s room and handed it to Ryan as he came up with a plan. Jared grabbed flashlights from Chris’s parents room to try and attract Chupchip to the stairway. Chris’s bedroom had a balcony that went over the pool meaning they could escape through the window and bring Chupchip outside only if they had some sort of idea on how to defend themselves. The boys didn’t have any sort of salt or sugar to track the footsteps of the monster but they could use the flashlights and closed doors to see movement. Ryan stood off to the side of the stairs prepared to swing the bat and Jared shined the light on the staircase. Chupchip isn’t visible in light so to reel him in Jared had to flicker the light and Ryan had to time the swing perfectly. Creeks, and gusts of moving air spread throughout the lower half of the house. The boys were ready as every step taken was seen or heard through the dark night. The sounds are getting closer, and louder every second. Ryan steps to swing and gets instantly swept off of his feet and Jared uses the bug spray he grabbed from the Kitchen to spray throughout the air blinding Chupchip and his ability to see. This gives Ryan and Jared time to book it straight for the balcony with a secure and safe spot to assure they’ll live. However, they have nothing left to fight Chupchip with. This is where Jareds nerdy thinking came into play as he started to jump into the pool. Chupchip wouldn’t be able to move as quickly as he could on land in water and the same goes for the boys but it creates an even fight. The splashing and sounds of the boys did actually attract Chupchip. Then, it went silent. The only sounds were trees, and gusts of wind movement. Jared and Ryan had no clue what was going on. SPLASH! Jared got pulled under water and held against his will against the pool floor. Ryan didn’t have any tools to fight back so he left Jared praying he could fight his own battle. Jared was never heard or seen again.
It was just Ryan and Chupchip left. The house was locked and Chupchip claimed his territory in the pool. Mind you Ryan has a very built figure and can pretty much fight whatever is coming his way. He figured if Chupchip was going to focus on Jared it would be a perfect time to run and break a window to recapture the house and get all of the materials he needed to fight back. He headed straight for the laundry room window and jumped right through it. As he started to get through the window and adjust his sight to what was in the room he slowly started to lose consciousness. He saw Chris and lost all of his sanity. Notwithstanding, he had to keep pushing and fighting for his right to live. He booked it straight for the garage and searched in every area around it to find weapons. There was a box in the corner looking like a safe which led him to believe there had to be a gun around there somewhere and his thinking was right. He obtained the gun and developed a plan that would trap Chupchip. The plan started by grabbing flour from the cupboard and pouring it all over the ground. After that, he grabbed another flashlight from above the stove counter and set it onto a mode that made the light flicker every three seconds pointing towards the white front door. Chupchip would be wet so the drops of water would show and reveal his positioning making him very easy to shoot. All he had to do was make noise. He threw things like books, brushes, and pillows directly at the door.
Chupchip enters the house. As he enters he follows the sounds of objects hitting the ground and glass breaking in the second living room. Until his position was revealed and shots were fired. One hit him in the gut and the 2 others hit him directly in the chest dropping the monster to the ground as it bleeds and bleeds to its death. That was it. Chupchip was killed but at the cost of others in the town and even Ryan’s best friends being killed. Ryan was later known as the town hero and actually was rewarded for
