Agriculture - Af Mechanics, Agriscience, Horticulture*
The Beyer High School Agricultural Education Program is built on the three core areas of classroom/laboratory instruction, supervised agricultural experience programs and FFA leadership opportunities. The program is designed for educational delivery through quality instruction, agriculturally related work-based learning projects and FFA leadership development.

AVID
AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID places academically average students in advanced classes; levels the playing field for minority, rural, low-income, and other students without a college-going tradition in their family; and targets students in the academic middle- B, C, and D students—who have the desire to go to college and the willingness to work hard.Â
Beyer Band
The Beyer HS Band is a class that offers students the ability to perform and compete throughout the year in concerts, festivals, and competitions. Students in band also have the opportunity to participate in Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Winter Percussion.
Beyer Color Guard
Beyer Color Guard is a competitive team that practices and competes throughout the school year. Color Guard is open to any students who like to dance, be apart of a team, and perform. During the fall semester Color Guard competes with the Marching Band as part of their field show. During the Winter Season Color Guard competes as their own unit performing at several competitions. All color guard practices take place after school.
Beyer HS String Orchestra
Beyer HS String Orchestra is a class that is for any students who play string instruments such as Violin, Viola, Cello, or Double Bass. Orchestra is a new class being offered at Beyer HS and any students interested in joining should ballot for it for the 2022-2023 school year. String Orchestra will perform throughout the school year in concerts and festivals.
Beyer Marching Band
The Beyer Marching Band is a competitive field show band that competes in field show competitions throughout Northern California. Students in Marching Band practice after school and compete during the fall season. Students must be enrolled in the Beyer Band to enroll in Marching Band. This is a fun activity that teaches teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and many other traits that help students both during an after HS
Dance Production*
Dance Production is a Visual & Performing Arts elective, a physical education class, plus a club. Students are enrolled through an audition that takes place the months of April and May the year before. In Dance Production students learn, share, and teach choreography to each other and perform for school events, field trips, plus two major performances throughout the year.

Digital Photography and Photojournalism*
Students learn real photography techniques that can be applied almost immediately in the job setting, utilizing graphic design and photoshop skills. This pathway leads toward publication opportunities like Yearbook and other options around campus.

JROTC*
JROTC program is designed to instill values of citizenship, service to the nation, and personal responsibility and sense of accomplishment. JROTC curriculum includes coursework on leadership, global awareness, health & wellness, and U.S. history. It is based on the principles of performance-based, learner-centered education and promotes development of core abilities.

Four levels of classes and two levels of teams. FRC team that has gone to world Championships twice. Exciting! Fun! Hard Work!

Theatre Class and Drama Production
Theatre class can be taken all four years. The first year focuses on theatre vocabulary, introduction to acting, improvisation, and behind the scenes elements of theatre such as lighting and costumes. The next years' levels focus on directing and build on your acting skills. In each class we do a variety of performances including monologues, duet scenes, group scenes, musical scenes, short films, and more! Drama Production takes place after school. Each production lasts 6-8 weeks with after school rehearsals. You do not need to take theatre class to audition for Drama Production.
Agriculture*
Giving students a positive and thrilling experience in the Agriculture Field. Our Ag Program offers 6 different pathways for students to choose from. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to engage in hands on Ag. activities.

AVID
AVID is a program for students who are motivated and determined to attend college. AVID offers an elective class all four years of high school and guides students along the way to keep them on track for college. AVID is a family and a culture of advancement to higher education for all students.
Business and Computer Science*
Students who participate in this program can gain knowledge on a variety of computer programs such as photoshop and video editing. Students can also dive into the world of website design, coding, and 3D printing. Students can also learn about the virtual business field and learn about marketing, retail sales, and more.

Dance Production
Our dance program is led by Ms. Zvarik. We offer 3 levels of dance for our students teaching a variety dance styles and techniques.
Health Careers Academy*
The exciting Health Careers Academy is led by Ms. Gonzales. This "school within a school" includes core classes with a health career focus. Students in HCA can also attend field trips, listen to guest speakers, receive mentorships, and job shadowing, be eligible for scholarships and so much more!

Language Institute
The Language Institute is a 1 year program that is for students who are new to the United States. Students will be enrolled in 2 specialized English classes which will focus on developing English Language proficiency.
Leadership
Our Leadership Program is led by our Activities Director, Bridgit Moore, it is truly the heart of school spirit here at Davis!
Middle College
Students who participate in the Middle College Pathway can earn three college units for each college course they complete. Students can potentially leave high school with up to three semesters of college units.
Music
Our music program is led by Mr. Davila and offers exciting pathways in music. Students can choose from Band, Modern Band, Orchestra, Guitar, or Piano.
Public Safety Academy*
Public Safety Academy is led by Mr. Blanas and prepares students for a career in law enforcement, fire science, first responders, and the military. The program includes hands on training a disciplined culture and explorer program recruitment.

Theatre
Our fantastic Theatre program is led by Ms. Lindsay Bryan and consists of beginning and advanced Theatre classes, a Theatre Stagecraft class, and an active drama club that houses our International Thespian Society and Scared Scriptless Improv team.
Thomas Downey Agriculture*
The Agriculture department changes lives and prepares students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
Agriculture develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success.
Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.

3D Graphics and Animation*
Learn the different roles within a 3D animation pipeline. We will focus on 3D modeling, animation, lighting and rendering and 3D Printing. The Advanced class is an animated short film production studio. Students here will apply what they have learned and collectively work on an animated short film which will be submitted to film festivals once completed.

Cal Safe Infant Care/Teen Parenting*
California School Age Families Education Program (Cal-Safe) is a school-based program offered for pregnant and parenting teens and their children to encourage the teen to continue their education. The program offers a wide range of educational and supportive services, including child care and transportation. The goal of the program is to provide the opportunity for students to remain in high school through graduation, provide child care and development services and health needs for each child. The children of enrolled teen parents will have enhanced school readiness.

Choir
Choir elective is for all students who wish to learn more about music through singing. No prior experience is needed, but you can also sign up if you have sung before/wish to learn more about vocal technique.
Concert Band/Marching Band
Band elective performs at football games, parade competitions, concert band competitions, and regular performances through out the school year. No prior instrumental experience is needed. This elective is for students interested in continuing to play music or those who have always wanted to learn how to play an instrument.
Construction*
Construction is a YEAR long course in which students explore Construction as a career, including career paths, safety, construction math, reading blueprints, electrical, plumbing, framing, finish carpentry, HVAC, cement/masonry, tile setting, etc. Students will learn to safely use hand tools and power equipment in a hands-on, technical learning environment.Â

Culinary Arts 1, 2, 3*
Culinary Arts students are educated in Food preparation in a state of the art Production Kitchen and Café. This class is designed for the future chef, also the back/front of the house employees in mind, plus job training for the future Food Service worker. Students will gain knowledge in Weights/Measurements, Knife Skills/Safety, Food Preparation, Salad/Dressings, Soups, and a variety of Cookies, Pies/Desserts, Rolls, Production Skills, Food Costing, Mise en Place, Cleaning and Sanitizing, Identification of Equipment, and the opportunity to earn a Food Handlers Certification. We use hands-on training so that students are fully engaged in the learning experience and are actively moving towards a goal, as a team. Our goal is for students to learn a variety of food preparation skills and techniques, and at the same time produce a variety of delicious foods to be served to staff and the community. Food not only good enough to eat, but good enough to sell.

Employment Opportunities*
These courses provide students with employable skills that are transferable to any career direction. Topics cover leadership, professional skills, ethics, community engagement, collaboration, conflict resolution, personal finance, interviewing, interpersonal skills and customer service.

Guitar
Guitar elective is for students wanting to learn how to play guitar. We learn different styles of music, plucking and strumming techniques, how to read music, how to read chords, and how to read tablature. No prior experience is needed to sign up for this elective.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band elective is for students wanting to learn how to play/sing in the musical style of jazz. We learn how to improvise, go to competitions, and have fun while learning more about musical styles. There is no need for prior instrument experience, we are willing to teach you how to play instruments we have at the school.
Orchestra
Orchestra elective is for string instruments: violin, viola, cello, and bass. No prior experience on these instruments are needed. We learn about musical styles, how to play string instruments, and how to perform music as an ensemble. This group also attends competitions and hold regular performances.
VISCOM*
The VISCOM program is for any student interested in graphic design, photography, video production, 3D animation, or yearbook. Students create on iMac computers using industry standard hardware and software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Maya.

Cinema & Graphic Arts*
With the explosion of media everywhere, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE and TIKTOK, people have constant access to films, pictures, and designs. Media has become a growing industry and the Cinema and Graphic Arts Pathway has the goal to train students in current design and creation in Photography, Video, and Graphic Design.
The Graphic Arts program offers students the experience and knowledge of the Graphic Design Industry. Students learn Adobe CC software Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and InDesign. Students also learn the basic requirements for introductory employment in the Graphic Design profession.

Forensic Biotech Academy*
The Enochs Forensic Biotech Academy offers students the opportunity to learn advanced scientific thinking and techniques in forensics, medicine and biotechnology in a small school-within-a-school community. Reality based lab activities with high technology, cross curricular projects, field trips and guest teachers in addition to opportunities for mentorship, internships, certifications and community service are everyday pieces of the program. The goal of the Software and Systems Development (SSD) Pathway at Enochs High School is to give a sense of the broad reach of computer science throughout all industry sectors, throughout the world, and to demystify computer science.

Ag Mechanics*
Ag Mechanics provides practical hands-on instruction in the areas of basic agricultural mechanics, welding/fabrication, small engine repair and maintenance, and electrical and hydraulics. This will benefit students who want to become mechanics, technicians or who want to work in other mechanical related fields or just have a working knowledge of the mechanical systems around them.

Art and History of Floral Design*
This class is designed to allow students to apply an artistic approach to floral design. Students will explore elements and principles of floral design, two or three dimensional designs, history of floral art, arrangement styles and techniques, seasonal, holiday and occasional designs. Students will achieve this through creating, designing, identifying, explaining and evaluating all topics of study. Students will use the skills learned to create the following designs. This course receives UC Fine Art Credit.

Business and Marketing*
This program introduces business concepts that are important in today's workplace. It focuses on the basics of business and marketing. Students learn how to create a lean business plan and pitch their business. Upon completion, students are eligible to compete for seed capital to launch their business or pursue educational goals.

Engineering*
From launching space explorations to delivering safe, clean water to communities, engineers find solutions to pressing problems and turn their ideas into reality. Engineering empowers students to step into the role of an engineer, adopt a problem-solving mindset, and make the leap from dreamers to doers.

Small Learning Communities
Gregori small learning communities bring students and teachers to-gether that have a common interest in certain subjects. Students take classes together but interact with the entire school in sports, dances and activities. At Gregori High School we will offer the following SLC’s.
Medical Science*
Any student interested in medicine should take this program for exposure and experience in medicine. Students learn the basics of CPR, First Aide, learn from acting professionals, and have a community classroom opportunity at Golden Bear Physical Therapy and Doctors Medical Center.

Multimedia Broadcasting*
Multimedia Broadcasting is an excellent opportunity for students to learn the skills and techniques needed to be successful in the broadcasting field. Students learn to broadcast, shoot and edit film to create a student driven news broadcast at Gregori High School.

Music
The Gregori Musical Arts represents students in jazz band, concert band, color guard, orchestra, and choir on the Gregori HS campus. There are performances, trips, and clinics throughout the year that provide students with the opportunity to enhance/display their skill set.
Professional Theatre*
Professional Theatre is a survey course that covers all aspects of the subject including acting, writing, technical theatre, the history of theatre, puppetry, improvisation, publicity, film criticism, and reading scripts as literature. Continuing students will focus even more on acting, writing, directing, and staging plays.

Advanced Placement (AP)
The Advanced Placement program is sponsored by the College Board, a non-profit membership association. AP offers college level courses and exams for highly motivated students in secondary schools. Its reputation for excellence results from the close cooperation among secondary schools, colleges, and the College Board. More than 2,900 universities and colleges worldwide grant credit, advanced placement, or both to students who have performed satisfactorily on the exams, and 1,400 institutions grant sophomore standing to students who meet their requirements.

Founded in 1992 Johansen's Agriculture Academy promotes the integration of academics and a career focus in three career pathways - Agriculture Mechanics, Animal Science, Food Science and Plant Science. Students in the Agriculture Academy can participate in FFA activities that promote premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.

Engineering Design*
Our Engineering Design Pathway is a high school level foundation program that includes the PLTW Engineering Program. Students are introduced to the engineering profession and a common approach to the solution of engineering problems, an engineering design process. Utilizing the activity-project-problem-based (APB) teaching and learning pedagogy, students will progress from completing structured activities to solving open-ended projects and problems that require them to develop planning, documentation, communication,

We have the most comprehensive high school technology learning program in the area! Learn how to use cutting edge industry-standard software like 3D Studio Max, Maya, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, FL Studio, Audition, Cutting Edge Game Engines and Tools, and Microsoft Visual Studio. Our students take classes such as: 3D Graphics & Animation, Graphics Design II, Photography, and Video Arts Production (VikingTV). Residential and Commercial Construction*
Johansen's construction class is designed for students who plan to pursue construction careers and/or training. This pathway provides a student experience that develops career ready practices through career exploration in the context of project-based learning. All knowledge and skills are based on career cluster and pathway standards to promote college and career readiness Students will practice the basic skills necessary to successfully function as an entry-level apprenticeship.

Visual & Performing Arts (VAPA)
Students can join Johansen's dynamic VAPA Pathway and have access to award winning programs in all disciplines of the visual and performing arts. Students in VAPA are able to take the most rigorous course of academic classes combined with four years in the arts meeting graduation and college acceptance requirements all while thriving in an environment that inspires critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and creativity. Students work is continually shown, evaluated and praised community events throughout the school year allowing for real world experience that is highly valued in the academic world as well as the workplace.
AVID
AVID is a schoolwide college-readiness system designed to close the opportunity gap and provide college and career support for all students.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
International Baccalaureate is an academically challenging and balanced program that prepares students to be successful in college and beyond. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students. Students who complete the IB courses take end-of-session exams that can give them college credits and helps with college admission.
Modesto High Agriculture Department / Modesto FFA*
The Modesto High School Agriculture Department is an intra-curricular program that focuses on premiere leadership, personal growth and career success. Students are given the opportunity to develop as leaders and get hands on experience in the world of agriculture. Students will be able to travel, attend conferences, compete in events and learn valuable skills that they will use far beyond high school.

Performing Arts Academy (PAA)*
The Performing Arts Academy allows students to learn using the arts as a foundation. We over four college prep PAA classes each year that allow for cross curricular experiences that emphasize critical thinking and creative expression. The skills students learn here are transferable to any career and/or college path.
