Wound Topic Categories for Abstract Submission:
Abstracts should fall under one of the following categories, reflecting the key areas in wound management:
1. Diabetic Foot Ulcer/Leg Ulcers
2. Pressure Injuries /Problem Surgical Wounds
3. Applying Research in Hard-to-Heal Wounds
4. Technology Interventions in Wound Management.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Abstract Format:
Word Limit: Abstracts must be 300 words (maximum), excluding the title and author details.
Language: All submissions must be in English.
Structure: Abstracts should be structured with the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and single spacing.
Margins: Set margins to 1 inch on all sides.
2. Author Information:
Include the full name(s) of the author(s), with the presenting author’s name underlined.
Affiliation(s): List the institution, city, and country for each author.
Provide the corresponding author’s email address and phone number for communication regarding the submission.
3. Originality:
The work must be original and not previously published or under consideration for publication in any other journal or conference.
Disclose any potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission.
4. Submission Process:
Abstracts should be submitted electronically through the conference’s online submission system, accessible via AWC Conference 2024 - Abstract Submission.
Complete all required fields in the submission form, including author details, abstract title, and preferred presentation type (oral, physical poster, or flash talk).
Confirm that you have read and agreed to the submission guidelines before submitting.
5. Review and Selection:
Submissions will be peer-reviewed by the conference’s scientific committee.
Selection criteria include relevance to the conference themes, originality, scientific merit, and clarity of expression.
Authors will be notified of acceptance and the type of presentation (oral, physical poster, or e-poster) by 24 May 2024.
6. Ethical Considerations:
For research involving human or animal subjects, indicate approval from the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board.
Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained; do not use names or identifiable details without consent.

Participants submitting abstracts can indicate their preference for the type of presentation:
Oral Presentation: A formal presentation to conference attendees, followed by a Q&A session.
Physical Poster Presentation: A traditional poster presentation in a designated area at the conference venue.
Flash Talk: An electronic poster that will be displayed on screens. The presenter will also be allocated 3 minutes to present their work.

Awards and Recognition:
To acknowledge exceptional research and presentations, the conference will present the following awards:
Best Oral Presentation Award
Best Poster Presentation Award
Flash Talk Award
A panel of experts will select award winners based on the caliber of their research and presentation abilities. 5 best presentations will receive a certificate of recognition and a monetary prize.
