Hello and welcome to Turner Hall, your home at Monash. You'll join a proud, vibrant community of 249 incredible people from all over the world in a safe, friendly, and multicultural environment. We hope that you’ll take advantage of the exceptional residential experience, social engagement, and leadership opportunities that we have to offer you, and forge lifelong relationships during your time here.Â
Living away from home can be intimidating, especially if this is your first time. We’re committed to supporting and enriching you through your development and independence, and thank you for allowing us to share in this transitional period of your life. With this in mind, we invite you to get involved in the community and join in on our wide range of extra-curricular events throughout the year, including social sport and weekly suppers. This will help you strengthen your social ties to your fellow Tigers, and celebrate what it means to be a valued member of Turner Hall.Â
Our hall culture is built on community awareness, participation, and respectful relationships. Above all else, we value diversity, inclusion, and accountability in our community, and this ensures a rewarding residential experience for you. All residents are expected to live in congruence with these values, and ensure that their conduct does not negatively affect others in any way. Once again a very warm welcome to The Jungle, we’re very excited to meet you and look forward to helping you succeed during your time with us.Â
Our mascot is the mighty Tiger.
Our colours are orange, yellow, and white - fiery and energetic, just like our community, and we wear them with pride.
We value:
Curating a Home Away From Home - that Turner is a safe, welcoming community for you, and that you are represented within the hall;Â
Cultural Diversity & Celebration - that we embrace and celebrate the many cultures that make up Turner; and
Accountability - that we all have a part to play in making Turner an inclusive, comfortable home, and that we interact with each other and our environment with respect and integrity.

"Living in Turner hall has been an incredible experience for me. I love the sense of community that comes from being surrounded by peers who are all navigating uni life together. Whether it's late-night study sessions or spontaneous hallway hangouts, my favourite part is the feeling of always having a support system right outside my door. It’s more than just a place to live—it’s a home where friendships and memories are built!"Lucy (she/her)

"My top tip for people living on res is to say 'hi' to people in the elevator. When you pass them in the hall way or when you see them, wave, smile, nod or just say 'hi', even if that's all you ever do, it fosters community and connection, and one day it could turn into a full blown friendship.
