Labour Law and Industrial Relations in Vietnam
Labour Law and Industrial Relations in Vietnam
I have been working as a lecturer at Hanoi Law University since 2015, where I teach and research Labour Law, Social Security Law, and the Law on People with disabilities. Since then, I have been providing consultancy services for the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Office in Hanoi and Geneva, Ergon Associates UK/EU and several non-government organisations.
In 2019, I started my PhD at Monash School of Business, Monash University. My thesis 'Collective Labour Dispute Resolution in Vietnam - A Regulatory Pluralism Approach' is under an Australian Research Council's Discovery Project that studies labour disputes in Southeast Asia.
In the past year, I have been engaging in two new roles to promote the rights of workers in Vietnam. As an advisor to the Legal Department of a provincial Federation of Labour, I provide free legal consultancy to workers while also coordinating the Vietnam Labour Research Network.
My research focuses on labour dispute settlement mechanisms, workers' representative organisations, collective bargaining, collective action, rights of people with disabilities, social security, and human rights.
