Theories of the three-body system
Workshop, 8-13 September 2024, Monash Prato Centre, Prato, Italy
The Three-Body Problem is one of the most celebrated problems in each of mathematics, physics and astronomy. Its rich mathematical structure still holds many secrets, while its astrophysical applications range from the stability of the Solar System to the collisions of black holes at the hearts of galaxies. This international conference was scheduled to be held in Jerusalem during the week of 8-12th October 2023, but was postponed when war broke out on October 7. Monash University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem are collaborating to bring the meeting to fruition at the Monash Prato Centre, situated in the old town of Prato and only 20 mins by train from Florence in beautiful Tuscany, Italy.
