What does this survey involve?
This online survey will ask questions about your experiences accessing family planning services in Australia. We will ask you question about, where and from whom you obtain family planning and related information from and your preferred contraceptive methods of use. The survey is completely anonymous and we are not able to know who you are.
Who can participate?
You are eligible to participate if you were born in India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka and have migrated to Australia. You must also be at least 18 years old, living in Australia and proficient in English.
This survey can be done online at a time that suits you. It should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete, however you can take as long as you need to go through the questions. You can return and complete the survey at a later date.
In respectful recognition of your time, upon completion of the survey you are able to provide your information to enter into a draw to receive one of 10, $30 gift vouchers.
Consent:
This survey is voluntary and once you have read the introduction and proceed to answering the questions, this will be taken as your consent to participate in the research. As your participation will be anonymous, it won’t be possible for you to withdraw your answers after you’ve submitted them.
Your privacy is important to us:
All your responses are confidential and we are not able to identify who you are. Your anonymous survey responses will only be available to the research team and will be stored online on a Monash University Secure Drive. All your data will be securely destroyed 5 years after the final research publication.
Possible benefits and risks:
Although there is no direct benefit to you, your participation in this research will help us better understand the barriers and facilitators to contraceptive access for South Asian women in Australia. Some people find it helpful to share their thoughts, although it is possible that some questions might make you to think about things that upset you.
