Eligibility
Open to all researchers including undergraduate and postgraduate students. The papers may be on any subject in the field of engineering within the 4 tracks defined. Submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest and applicability to the conference.
Abstract Submissions
Prospective authors are invited to create their submission for AEC 2019 via the Conference Management System here. The submission must have a standard academic abstract and a highlights section providing a concise overview on the main findings of the presented work. The abstract must present original research and indicate the significance of the presented work.
AEC 2019 only requests for an Abstract Submission, such that authors can maintain the freedom/liberty to publish their full work on other platforms. However, we provide avenues for full paper publication post-conference. Selected high-quality Abstract Submissions will be invited to submit to relevant Special Issues established specially for AEC 2019 as given below.
For highlights section, authors must provide three to five points (of 90 characters in length or shorter, spaces included) which summarizes and conveys key results of the work presented to the Colloquium audience. Authors may refer to the following links for further guidance and examples:
Authors are also encouraged to submit graphical abstract (optional) to further expound their submissions for potential journal review. A graphical abstract should be a single image that provides a concise visual summary of the main findings of the presented work, such that readers can gain a good understanding of the submission in a single glance. Note that such abstracts should not be text-heavy and is not a substitute for a poster presentation.

Participating Journals
Outstanding abstract submissions to AEC 2019 will be invited for full paper submission to participating journals. The submissions will be chosen according to the scope of the journal. Click here for more details on our participating journals.
Review and Invitation to AEC 2019
All author submissions will undergo a peer-review process by the Scientific Committee, after which an invitation to present and registration link will be sent to the authors. Please note that the quality of the submission will be a factor in determining the final presentation format (oral presentation or poster) allotted during the Colloquium.
The abstracts will also be published in our electronic conference proceedings. All submissions must be original and should not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The AEC Committee reserves the right to make the final decision regarding a submission, including excluding the submission if it does not meet the standards for scope and quality.
Presentation Formats
For oral presentation - the duration of each oral presentation is 15 minutes including 5 minutes of Q&A session.
Important Information
All authors who have been accepted must register for the colloquium and attend the event to present. Authors who fail to register for the colloquium will not have their abstract published in the proceedings.
