Emeritus Professor Ng Kwan Hoong
University of Malaya
Ng Kwan Hoong is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Biomedical Imaging, University of Malaya. He is a distinguished medical physicist and academician renowned for his contributions to the field of medical imaging and radiation oncology. Throughout his illustrious career, Em Prof Ng has made significant advancement in the development and application of advanced imaging techniques for cancer diagnosis and treatment. In 2018, he became the first Malaysian scientist to receive the prestigious ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ธ๐น๐ผ๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐๐ธ๐ฎ-๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ, an award given by the International Organisation of Medical Physics (IOMP) to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of medical physics. In 2020, Em Prof Ng was awarded the esteemed ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐.ย
Representatives from ECRI Asia Pacific (Hariharan Kathiresen, Senior Engineering Manager and Joseph Haw, Senior Project Engineering) will be deliveringย an industrial talk during this one-day workshop. ECRI is a nonprofit organization with an Asia Pacific regional office located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
