Our Design placement are open to companies, research labs (at Monash University or elsewhere) or Monash University researchers. This is a competitive selection process, where MADA Design and your agency assesses applicant suitability and quality of work through their folio.

Here at MADA Design, our students in Communication / Industrial / Spatial / Collaborative (undergraduate) and Design Research / Interaction Design / Multimedia (postgraduate) are always on the lookout for practical experience in the industry to supplement their design learning – with, for and in industry. We see this as a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Our placement elective units provide a pathway for students to earn academic credit while gaining work experience for a short period of time in a relevant agency/organisation. During the WIL placement stint, we expect our students to pick up valuable industry skills, on-the-job learning and communication, and have them critically reflect on the experiences to successfully complete their placement.
