About the Scheme

The National Centre for Healthy Ageing (NCHA), a joint venture between Peninsula Health, Monash University and the community, has been established to create a centralised hub for innovation and transformation of healthcare practices. The NCHA aims to create better integrated care models to promote health and wellbeing across the lifespan and drive improvements in the way people seek out and access care, to ensure they reflect and align with their values and needs.

The NCHA will lead the way in developing a holistic approach to healthy ageing, bringing together the very best researchers with carers, clinicians, service providers and consumers to assess and improve all aspects of healthy ageing, including physical and mental health, and factors such as addiction, which seriously impact the ability to live a long, happy and productive life.

The LLP 2021 (Pilot R2) will support high quality, open innovation programs of research to address real world problems in healthy ageing and will fund between 3 and 5 projects to run for 12 months from October 2021 to September 2022. A maximum of $150,000 will be available for any single project, however projects with smaller budgets will also be considered.

***** The NCHA acknowledges the financial support of the Australian Government Department of Health to support the Centre establishment. *****
