Monash University Malaysia students are automatically registered as members of the Library. The staff ID card functions as a library card for borrowing library materials.

Online resources are accessible 24/7 from any location via Monash log-in.

Opening Hours
Opening hours for the libraries vary during the academic semester, SWOT & Exam week and semester break.

In general, during semester, the opening hours of the Main Campus library are the following
Weekdays : 8am - 10pm
Weekends : 10am -6pm
Public Holidays : Closed
During SWOT and Exam Weeks, Expansion Area of the library on Level 3, Building 9 remains open 24/7, all days of week, including public holidays. (Entrance is via Building 9 next to ITS Helpdesk)
In general, the opening hours of the Clinical School library throughout the year are the following
Weekdays : 8am - 5pm
Weekends and Public Holidays: Closed
Users are allowed to use the library study spaces (no counter service available) via ID card access after 5pm based on the overall campus opening hours.
E-resources :
Monash library is an e-preferred library and provides access to a wealth of e-resources to all Monash staff and students.
Access is via Monash single sign-on (you need to be logged in with Okta) to be able to access the library's e-resources.
For one-stop search ( print books, e-books, articles, book chapters, dissertations etc.), use the search box on Monash Malaysia 's Library website.
To search specific databases, use Databases A-Z
To search for specific journal titles, use E-Journals

Physical resources :
There are approximately 60,000 physical items in the library.
Arts and Social Sciences collections are housed on level 2 of the main library.
Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine collections are housed on level 3 of the main library.

All items, except short term loans, audio-visual collections and those on hold (requested by other users), are automatically renewed a maximum four times unless your borrowing rights have been blocked (e.g. in the case of outstanding fine) or you have reached the maximum renewal limit (4) for that item.
Acquisition of resources : Points to note
Monash University library is e-preferred.
The library in Australia manages the acquisition and access to all library e-resources.
Print resources are managed locally. Monash being an e-preferred library, acquisition of print resources are on the decline.
Request for books/ e-books and audio-visual materials
Please refer to Acquisition page on our Library Website for more information or you may submit your request via the Purchase Request form.
The Purchase Request form is only accessible to Staff and PhD students.
Other groups, such as UGs and Masters students, may submit their requests through the Library Helpdesk.
Document Delivery
For scholarly resources (i.e. conference papers, journal articles, book chapters, or Monash theses) that are not available in the Monash library collections, Monash University Malaysia’s Academic staff, Postgraduates, and Honours students can request for document delivery services.
All requests are subject to availability of funds, availability of resources, and copyright restrictions.

Consultations are available from Monday to Friday, during working hours and subject to the availability of the relevant team member.

These tutorials and videos help students build their research skills and apply them while working on their assignments.

Studiosity is a service provided by Monash University Malaysia to help students to get clarity about an assignment question, decide how to start an assignment, or get same-day feedback on any draft. Studiosity is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Graduate Research Students can access Studiosity from this Moodle unit.
The Monash Learn HQ: This resource hub offers support for academic challenges. Guides and tutorials listed help students develop the right skills and strategies for studies, assignments, and exams.
