Research-in-Progress
Enhancing educational opportunities: a randomized trial of English and life skills training for underprivileged girls, as co-PI with David Blakeslee (NYU AD), Nishtha Sharma (NYU AD), Nitin Kumar Bharti (University of Western Australia), and Aniruddha Talukdar (LSE).
In collaboration with the Karnataka State Education Department and the local NGO SwaTaleem, we are evaluating an innovative educational program designed for adolescent girls from lower-caste backgrounds in India.
Schooling and habit formation under weather stress: experimental evidence from Bangladesh, as PI.
In partnership with the District Administration of Pabna, Bangladesh, I will conduct an RCT to assess the impact of umbrella provision on reducing the cost of school attendance due to adverse weather.
The impact of housing costs on fertility choices in Australia: An instrumental variable approach, as PI with Liang Choon Wang (Monash), and Jun Sung Kim (Sungkyunkwan University )
We utilise longitudinal panel data from the HILDA survey. Applying a Fixed Effects-Instrumental Variable specification, we aim to provide robust causal estimates of the impact of housing costs on fertility choices.
