Dr. Jodi Law Woan-Fei is a research fellow at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. She also serves as a section leader of Diagnostics and Pathogens, Microbiome and Bioresource Research Strength (MBRS). Her research interests include the biosystematic study of novel Streptomyces from mangroves and exploration of their bioactive properties. She has been studying microbes of environmental origins, and now she is looking forward to expanding her research by investigating the microbes from the human body (human microbiome). Additionally, she firmly believes that it is crucial to identify bacterial pathogens from the human/environmental microbiome and examine their antibiotic resistance profile to gauge the prevalence of multidrug-resistant strains and to generate potential solutions for this issue. She has 50 publications, with Google Scholar H-index: 15, i10-index: 25, and cumulative citations of 1567.
