Learn in-depth about the qualifications and associations in Canada for Nutritionists and Dietitians.
Step 1: Is your qualification recognised?
The Monash's Dietetics degree is not recognised in Canada.
To practise as a registered dietitian in Canada, you would need to:
Contact the provincial dietetic regulatory body in the province where you plan to work to determine the requirements for registration to practise. The regulatory body will assess your academic and practicum experience to determine your eligibility for registration.
Once academic and practicum requirements have been met, you need to pass the Canadian Dietetics Registration Examination (CDRE) in order to be registered.
As of February 2023, no information on the regulatory bodies for nutritionists in Canada can be found.
Step 2: Are there any professional associations that offer support?*
