BME3030 offers an integrated biomedical science practical experience where you complete a research project in a cutting-edge field. You will work in a small research team, mentored by a career researcher, to plan and conduct a series of experiments to address a novel research question.
To support your work in the lab, you will be guided in the development of skills in experimental design, ethical conduct and specific techniques via a series of workshops and lab skill training sessions.
Throughout the unit, research careers in academic, research institutes and industry will be highlighted.
BME3030 is a fantastic opportunty for anyone looking to explore a career in biomedical research or industry, or if you'd like to further develop research and lab skills before completing your Biomed or Science degree.
In this unit, you will complete a biomedicine research project geared towards industy application.
You will learn and develop key biomedical research skills, from lab techniques to data analysis and presentation.
Through the semester, you will be mentored by world class researchers in the field. Use this unique opportunity to network, and learn about carrers in research and industry.
