Funding Opportunities

We are excited to announce the SAFE Monarch Habitat Grants are officially available! We would like to give a major thank you to the Virginia Zoo for their generous donation of $15,000 to continue support for this opportunity! Please review the Request for Proposals and Application, if you are interested in this funding opportunity. 

Projects should focus on at least one of three main categories:

1. Zoo and aquarium property-level habitat enhancement or establishment

2. Community-level habitat enhancement or establishment

3. Hosting events to distribute pollinator plants.

Application Deadline: March 1, 2026

8 total projects were funded with last year's grant, supported by the Turtle Back Zoo and Zoological Society of New Jersey. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions.
