I'm a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) with a passion for working collaboratively with kids, families and educators. The goal? To reduce barriers by building practical strategies. For the past 18 years, my experiences have ranged from home, community and school settings, all of which have focused on celebrating and troubleshooting approaches using applied behavior analysis (ABA) and empowering others to do the same.
Through shoulder to shoulder consultation and professional development, Momentum Learning partners with educators to support gaps in student skills involving:
functional communication
school routines
transitioning activities
receiving feedback
expressing emotions
de-escalation & coping skills
tolerating mistakes / change
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) receives a significant amount of press for serving individuals on the autism spectrum; however, the principles of ABA can work wonders wherever there are observable behaviors that can be shaped to create win-win scenarios. This people-first science aims to strengthen systematic capacities to benefit kids and adults alike.
And now...let us chase (and hold on to) wild ideas and momentous dreams.
