About the Author
E.B. White was a famous author who loved animals, nature, and writing stories that made people smile and think. He was born in New York in 1899 and later moved to a farm in Maine. On his farm, he spent lots of time watching animals, listening to their sounds, and learning their personalities. These real-life animals helped inspire him to write Charlotte’s Web!
E.B. White also wrote Stuart Little and The Trumpet of the Swan, two more stories about animals having big adventures. His books are full of friendship, kindness, courage, and heart. He believed that every creature, big or small, matters and has something special to offer. Through characters like Wilbur and Charlotte, E.B.
