🧪 What Is USECHH 2000 All About?

The Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health Regulations 2000 (USECHH) is a Malaysian regulation under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA). It’s designed to protect workers from the health risks of hazardous chemicals used in the workplace.

USECHH 2000 requires employers to:

•  Identify and assess hazardous chemicals used in their operations

• Conduct a Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) by a registered assessor  

•  Control exposure through engineering, administrative, and PPE measures

•  Label and store chemicals properly using CLASS regulation 

•  Provide training and health surveillance for exposed workers

•  Maintain documentation such as chemical registers, CHRA reports, and SDS
