The isolation of the 2020 and 2021 school years revealed how important live performance is to our communities. While our students did not have the stage to learn from this year, they were still able to create! Original songs, compositions, podcasts, and poetry were among the projects Mohonasen Music Production and Theory students produced. Keep scrolling to listen!
In the 2018-19 school year, MoPro provided over 180 hours of audio and stage support for 20 school events, in addition to producing a planetarium show for MiSci in Schenectady, a multi-media exhibition for the MHS Media Arts Fair, a variety of curricular original works, and performing as the MoPro band.
Technology is our tool, caring and persistence is our methodology, and music is our heartbeat.

MHS Music Department and the Center for Advanced Technology Presents, “I See Stars,” a planetarium show presented February 7, 2019 at MiSci in Schenectady, NY, and December 20, 2019 at Mohonasen High School.
A multi-media space exploration in three parts. Original music and prose inspired by sounds and images from NASA space exploration. Compositions and writings by Mohonasen music students incorporating NASA space sounds, set to NASA images, and narrated by students reading their thoughts about the nature of the universe.
