FACS

Having worked with Haley Francis for the past 4 years, I can see that she is hardworking, determined and always has a positive attitude. Haley has taken every FACS class and recently completed an accelerated CEIP working with 2 mentor teachers at Draper. I am impressed with her drive, perseverance and professionalism on the job while working with her mentors.

Haley is not just a good student but a good person. She is willing to help other students in Adulting 101 and not afraid to share the hard facts despite her quiet nature. She is ready to move past the challenges of high school and is more than ready for college and career. I have enjoyed talking “real-life” with her and can see that she has the skills to be successful at any career… and I have talked with her about several.

Haley is the epitome of a Mohonasen graduate. She is curious and creative, a critical thinker and team player, confident and growth-oriented! I have enjoyed working with her and wish her the best of luck in her future plans.

Science

Sophiya was a student in my 9th grade LE class. This was the year of the pandemic. While in class Sophiya excelled in a very difficult environment. Once we went all virtual, Sophiya continued to attend online classes while others stopped showing up. Even as a freshman I saw her potential and told her she needed to come back as a junior for medical science so she could be surrounded by an environment for learning. This year has been a wonderful time to get to know Sohiya as more than just a student. She cares about the how & why of science and not just learning facts to find success on an assessment. She is intrinsically motivated and comes to class everyday excited to learn.

Social Studies

As a junior at Mohonasen, Wayeda Qasem decided to challenge herself by not only taking the required United States history course, but also the senior level Participation in Government. In both classes Wayeda has shown she is a dedicated student and continues to produce excellent work with outstanding results. Her classroom confidence and participation sets her ahead of many students. She knows when it's time to be serious and get to work and she also has a great sense of humor she brings to the classroom environment. Wayeda will do well with whatever she decides to do after high school!

Technology

Ryan Leach has taken it upon himself to push others in the class on the Puzzle Cube Project. Ryan has gone above and beyond what is required each day constantly asking what he can do next. He has been ahead of the class, showing others what to do next, and doing all the work correctly. Ryan is a model student in Introduction to Tech and Trades and has even given up his own time to stay after school and help others in his class.
