ABOUT POCT HTA 

Point of Care Testing (POCT) or near patient testing (NPT) is a term used to describe laboratory tests conducted by non-laboratory staff, mostly consisting of medical and nursing personnel, outside of the main laboratory.

The POCT HTA Committee is chaired by Dr. Shamsul Anuar Bin Kamarudin (Hospital Director) and its members come from various disciplines, including representatives from the Department of Pathology, Paediatric Emergency, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics Medicine, Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care, Paediatric Surgery, Radiology, Paediatric Dentistry, Psychiatry & Mental Health, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Pharmacy, and the Information Technology.
