1) How do I know if my child is eligible for the DSA-Sec?
All Primary 6 students in Singapore may apply for the DSA-Sec to the school of their choice, based on the school’s criteria to select non-academic talents for a more flexible and broad-based education system.
2) Can my child apply for the DSA-Sec to your school based on academic results alone, or based on another CCA not on your list?
For Zhonghua Sec's DSA exercise, we only accept applicants based on the 4 Sports CCAs, 4 Performing Arts CCAs and Student Leadership requirements stated here.
3) What are the expectations of a successful DSA applicant?
Students admitted to Zhonghua Secondary School via DSA-Sec should:
Comply with all school rules.
Be exemplary in conduct and speech in and outside of CCA.
Be committed to attend all CCA-related sessions unless excused by the teachers-in-charge.
Be a role model to his/her peers and juniors in the CCA and serve in a leadership role if nominated by teachers-in-charge.
Be an active contributor to his/her CCA throughout the 4 years in the school.
4) How will the selection trials, auditions and interviews be conducted this year?
All sports trials selections, performing arts groups auditions and interviews will be held in-person at Zhonghua Secondary School. More details will be sent to shortlisted applicants.
5) When will students receive their allocation outcome?
The allocation outcome from MOE will be released to all successful applicants through their Primary School together with their PSLE results on the day of the PSLE results release.
