Part 1: Drawing key lessons

• The team were able to identify the specific problem of disproportionate cardboard dumping through careful observation.

• Final solution was able to address this specific problem as well as the feedback from users.

Some areas the project can be improved:

• While the pyramid structure could prevent stacking, users will likely just leave their items next to the bin.

• Would have liked to see the ideas of 'fun' recycling brought up to be incorporated into the final design.

Part 2: Exploring Possibilities

• An interesting point to note: In Germany, the 25 cents can be considered a deposit for using a plastic bottle. The 25 cents are topped onto the purchase of any plastic bottle drink then the 25 cents are 'returned' to the customers when recycling the bottles.
