• Since the final product is a walking stick, the problem statement could be rephrased to mention targeting the elderly.

• A suction cup is dangerous if a user has any sudden movements and would not be effective on textured surfaces like the floor of a bus. A rubber tip may still be a more versatile option.

Part 2: Exploring Possibilities

• Without a suction tip, the stick could be designed to have 3 legs at the end to improve stability.

• Would children want to carry a stick like this? What functions could you add to make this more useful for children?
