The feed fill can be a 2-part system. One part can be fixed while the other can be detachable (and of different sizes) to allow varying quantities of fill for different durations of automatic feeding ( a few days / a week / etc.)
There are several models of feeders with their own pros and cons. The fish feeder can be one such solution we can learn from. Students can refer to Automatic plant watering systems, aquarium feeding systems.
Team has considered multi perspectives in their design which is commendable (safety, convenience, practicality, well-being of hamster)

As this is useful if the pet owner is away for a certain period of time, it would be good to incorporate a low-cost scheduler (day, time) independent of the need to use wifi (increase product cost) or a timer (which is set for one day only. Scheduler can be easily achieved since the product is already using microbit.
It would be good to look into areas that can benefit handicap, elderly and young children e.g. feeding, bathing, walking, cycling.
